Simba is a fictional character in Disney's Lion King series, created by animator Roger Allers and screenwriter Irene Mecchi. He is an adolescent lion who is the film's protagonist and sequels. Animator Dale Hendrickson created Simba as one of two designs for adult lions which eventually became Mufasa and Scar.
